Common terms in setting up webpages

If you are wanting to set up your own webpages, you will need to become familiar with

HTML.

CSS.

There are a number of tutorials on the internet that can help you become familiar with these.  These are some of the free tutorials that are available online:

Many family tree programs have the ability to generate webpages that you can add to your own website, however, the way that the information is displayed is limited to a single format.  In order to create dynamic webpages, that can display your family tree in a variety of ways you can either use

PHPGedview, which is free; or:

TNG (The Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding) 

When using either of these, you would also need to become familiar with:

PHP/Mysql.
