I came across a post On Randy Seaver’s Genea-Musings blog: Dear Randy: How Can I Make a Calendar in Family Tree Maker 2014?
The reason behind this question was that a reader wanted to know how to find an ancestor or cousin born on his birth date. Randy then went on to describe how to make a calendar in Family Tree Maker.
Making a calendar is one way to find someone born on your birth date, but there is a quicker option. I use Darrin Lythgoe’s The Next generation of Genealogy site-building to display my family tree on this website, and an easy way to find a relative ancestor born on my birth date, or in that month. This program has a feature “Dates and Anniversaries”. This automatically brings up the events for the current day, but you can change the date to any date you want, and this will then update to the date you have chosen.
