Victoria birth death marriage index now free

For the last few days, I had been trying to access the Historical Index for Victoria, and coming up with

scheduled maintenance

Then today I was reading the GAGs – GeniAus’ Gems – 13 November 2015 post, and found the following:

Victoria has now made the Historical BDM index free to search.  Access to this free index is from the Search your family history page.  You can also get straight into the search from the link https://online.justice.vic.gov.au/bdm/indexsearch.doj

In my 52 ancestors post this week, I told how I hadn’t been able to find an index entry for the death of Susannah Hansen.  Now that these indexes are available for free, I can now try a lot more variations to try and find the death entry for Susannah.
