I haven’t yet been able to find a baptism for May at this stage. There was a May Elder who was christened in 1720 in Inchture, Perthshire, Scotland, however there is also a marriage in Incture of a May Elder to Thomas Schaw in 1746, and they had three children between 1746 and 1749. I also tried searching for a Mary Elder, but was unable to find a baptism that seemed to match.
My May Elder married William Prain on 24 May 1748 in Longforgan, Perthshire, Scotland. William and May had two children: Isobel christened in 1749, and Mary christened in 1750. I have not yet found a burial record for May.
