Janet was christened 8 May 1757 at Dallas, Moray, Scotland.  She married Robert Harreld on 27 June 1786 at Kinloss, Moray, Scotland.  They had 2 children, Elizabeth and John.  By the time their son John was married in 1817, the family had moved to Longforgan, Perthshire, Scotland.  Janet was buried 2 December 1833 at Longforgan.

162 John McAish
163 Jean Cumming

There are no parish registers for Dallas prior to 1742, so I have been unable to find a baptism record for John.  The earliest record found is that of his marriage to Jean Cumming on 31 January 1751 at Dallas.  John and Jean had 4 other children, besides Janet:

  • Margaret christened 28 October 1751 at Dallas
  • Alexander christened in September 1753 at Dallas
  • Robert christened 6 December 1754 at Dallas
  • Elizabeth christened 29 May 1761 at Dallas.

Due to the gap in ages between Robert and Elizabeth, they may have had other children.
