Sunday Afternoon Genealogy Fun – Your Ancestors’ occupations

Each week on Randy Seaver’s Genea-musings blog he has a post for Saturday night Genealogy fun.  Because of the time difference, I have called my series Sunday Afternoon Genealogy Fun.

This week, the mission was:

1)  Geneablogger Diane Gould Hall posted WORKDAY WEDNESDAY – What kind of work did your ancestors do? on her Michigan Family Trails blog last year, and I thought the topic could be used as an SNGF post.

2)  Please go back several generations (say parents or grandparents or great-grandparents) and list the occupations that they had in the records you’ve found for them.  You could do this, say, by ancestor table number.

3)  Tell us about it in your own blog post, in a comment on this blog post, or in a post on Facebook or Google+.

Here’s mine.

These locations are from Victoria, Australia, unless otherwise stated.

This topic sounded familiar, so I checked my blog, and found Randy had issued this challenge a year ago – http://loiswillis.com/2015/05/31/sunday-afternoon-genealogy-fun-your-ancestors-occupations/.

This year, I focused mainly on the entries on the Electoral rolls.
