Elizabeth died in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter in 1857 in the Kettering District (vol 3b page 10_).

Based on the 1851 England Census, Elizabeth was born about 1810 in Wollaston, Northamptonshire.  The only baptism I have been able to find for an Elizabeth Skempton was at St Nicholas, Twywell on 18 February 1810.  Her parents were Jn and Eliz Skempton.

At Elizabeth’s marriage to George Slawson, one of the witnesses was Louisa Skempton.  I found a marriage in 1839 of a Louisa Skempton to George Odell in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.  Louisa’s marriage certificate lists her father as John Skimpton, roper.

I found a Louisa Odell on the 1851 census, with husband George Odell, at Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.  This Louisa was born about 1814 in Riseley, Bedfordshire.  I was able to find a baptism record for Louisa Skimpton on 26 July 1812 at Riseley, Bedford, England.  Her parents were John Skimpton and Elizabeth.

I have been unable to find a marriage entry for John and Elizabeth, although I have found a baptism of a John Skempton on 1 May 1785 at Twywell (St Nicholas) that could possibly be for their father.  His parents were William Skempton and Mary.

There was a marriage on 23 Dec 1784 for a William Skempton and Mary Cave at Twywell (St Nicholas).  There is a baptism entry for William Skempton on 10 October 1758 at Twywell (St Nicholas).  His parents were Francis Skempton and Sarah.

Francis Skempton married Sarah Perkins on 24 October 1757 at Twywell (St Nicholas).

A Francis Skempton was baptised 12 October 1735 at Twywell.  His parents were Will and Elizab Skempton.

A William Scampton married Elisabeth Knight on 22 July 1725 at Great Oakley, Northamptonshire.

I have set up a spreadsheet for all the Skempton entries in the Northamptonshire, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1532-1812 collection at Ancestry. Over time, I plan to add more records as I find them to this spreadsheet.
