Each week on Randy Seaver’s Genea-musings blog he has a post for Saturday night Genealogy fun. Because of the time difference, I have called my series Sunday Afternoon Genealogy Fun. This week the mission was:
1) Write your Genea-Santa letter. Have you been a good genealogy girl or boy? What genealogy-oriented items are on your Christmas wish list? They could be family history items, technology items, or things that you want to pursue in your ancestral quest.
2) Tell us about them in your own blog post, in a comment on this post, or in a Facebook Status or Google Stream post.
I have tried to be a good genea-girl this year. I have been working on my blog, sharing tips and resources for others researching their family history, as well as sharing the information I have on my family. I have been able to add quite a bit of information to my family tree. Although I have tried to update my family tree properly, including adding the source citations, sometimes I get caught up in searching for records, and don’t take the time to add the information to my tree properly. I promise to try harder next year.
Thank you for last year’s gift, a subscription to the UK Heritage collection at Ancestry. Maybe I wasn’t a good enough genea-girl though, because you didn’t give me the full World Heritage subscription, so I’ll ask for it again. A yearly subscription to FindMyPast would be good too.
I also ask that you continue to bring good health to my family and genealogy friends, and their families.
Thank you Genea-Santa for listening. Help yourselves to anything you like from the fridge or freezer.
