Alice Cooper was born about 1789 and christened 22 February 1792 in Melksham, Wiltshire, England. Her christening record lists her as Ellis. She married James Willis about 1820, and they had a daughter Mary, who was christened 3 March 1822 at All Cannings, Wiltshire, England. Alice’s son George Willis was christened 1 June 1828 at All Cannings. No father is listed on the christening record.

Alice was a widow when she married John Swatton on 21 September 1843 at All Cannings.

Her death was registered in 1885 in the Devizes district in Wiltshire.

I know very little about John and Lucy, except that they were married 2 March 1789 at Dauntsey, Wiltshire, England.  They had three children

• Lucy Cooper christened 22 February 1792 at Melksham, Wiltshire, England. Lucy married John Neate on 14 July 1825 at Melksham, Wiltshire, England.
• Eliza Cooper christened 16 March 1800 at Melksham, Wiltshire, England. Eliza married James Box on 4 November 1813 at Melksham, Wiltshire, England.
