Trove Tuesday

Trove Tuesday – Thomas Doyle

This week I am featuring articles for my 3x great grandfather, Thomas Doyle.

The first article is about the sale of his house and land at Buninyong, when he was leaving the district.

I had found that the Doyle family had come to Australia in 1862 on the “Great Britain”. This advertisement indicates that Thomas had been in Australia earlier.

Although the surname Doyle is quite common, Thomas Doyle’s eldest son had been born at Atherstone, Warwickshire, and the baptism records for his children show he was a schoolmaster, so this article would appear to be for him.

The final article I found was his death notice
