This week, I am continuing to work my way alphabetically through the list of people in my tree who died before 1955 in Australia. The articles I am sharing today are for Edwin Pirie Allardyce. Edwin’s relationship to my ex-husband is:
The first article I found was the marriage notice for his daughter Betty,

MARRIAGES
Mr. Oliver W. L. Roberts to Miss Betty Allardyce
The marriage of Mr. Oliver W. L. Roberts (late A.I.F.), only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Roberts. “Aldon.” Dandenong road, East St. Kilda, to Miss Betty L. P. Allardyce, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs Edwin P. Allardyce, “Mystice,” Orrong crescent, Caulfield, was celebrated with pretty effect at the Armadale Presbyterian Church, Denigh road, on November 10, by the Rev. S. H. Cox, assied by the Rev. D. Miller. The church was prettily decorated with white lilies and pink rhododendrons (sent by Mr. Brunning. Miss Molly McAhoy sang “Homing,” during the signing of the register. Miss Evans presided at the organ.
The next article I am sharing was an article about Edwin and his wife Margaret’s golden wedding anniversary.

Edwin and his wife were involved in a car accident in 1931.

The next article I found was when Edwin’s son was promoted from Sergeant to lieutenant.

Edwin’s wife Margaret died in 1948.
