Lynda Carol Whimpey was born 17 January 1957 at the Royal Women’s Hospital, in Carlton, Victoria, Australia. She was the third daughter born to Ivon Walter Whimpey and Edith Jean Marr. She also had 2 half-sisters, from her father’s first marriage.
Her family were living at 5 Power Street, Balwyn, when Lynda was admitted to the Royal Children’s Hospital, suffering from congenital heart disease. She died on the 31st May 1957.
Lynda’s funeral was held at the Lewis Parlor, at 154 Johnston Street, Fitzroy, Victoria, Australia, and she was buried at the Box Hill Cemetery, at Location M-199A-0022 (a map of the location can be found on the Box Hill Cemetery website).

WHIMPEY – The funeral of baby Lynda Carol Whimpey will leave the Lewis Parlor 154 Johnston-st Fitzroy on MONDAY after service commencing at 1.15 pm for the Box Hill Cemetery J. R. Lewis JA1066
