Trove Tuesday

Trove Tuesday – Reginald William Brede

I haven’t determined yet how Reginald was related to me.  This is Reginald’s pedigree chart.

Reginald Brede pedigree

Edward Docwra was born in Bassingbourn, Cambridgeshire, England.  My 2x great grandfather, Alfred Docwra, had also been born in Bassingbourn.  Since the surname is uncommon, and both families were from Bassingbourn, it seems likely that they are related, but I have not been able to determine how they are connected yet.

Today, I received a message from a nephew of Reginald’s wife.  In the message, he called Reginald “Sonny”, and wrote that Sonny had been killed while trying to connect the telephone to the house for Christmas.  My family tree shows that Reginald W. Brede died in 1929 at Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia, so I turned to Trove to find out what articles they had about his death.
