Trove Tuesday

Trove Tuesday – Alexander Marr

It’s been a while since my last Trove Tuesday post, so I have decided to start the series up again.  I am using a person born that week for my 52 Ancestors posts, so I decided for the Trove Tuesday posts to choose someone who had died that week.

I therefore chose Alexander Marr, who was buried 17 Jan 1934.

My relationship to Alexander is

Since I only had a burial date, I decided to find his death notice first.  His death notice gave his death date as 16 January 1934. His funeral notice was on the same page.

I then went back through the search results, to find other articles for him.

Both of Alexander’s children were born at Romsey.  I found the following article, which showed he was elected President for the Australian Natives Association

In 1888, Alexander was a witness at an inquest.

I also found the birth notice for his daughter.

The next article I found was for when he left Romsey, and went to Inglewood

This was the last article I was able to find for him.
